Today, we returned home from being away with family for a few days over New Year. It is a funny sort of day – not least because of the looming prospect of going back to work tomorrow. Not normally such an intimidating prospect, but then I have been off for a month.

It’s been a productive month, too. I haven’t got all the writing done that I wanted, but have definitely got the momentum going on my second book – and a couple of other bits and pieces – that I am confident I can maintain in the coming months.  A few publicity wheels have been turning about my first book as well, and more on all that in due course.

It will be strange being at work again, but in a way I am looking forward to going back.
