It’s been a busy time of it lately. Really busy. I haven’t had much time to do a whole pile of things, not least write, but hopefully there will be progress in the coming weeks.
So with a rare free Saturday this past weekend, it was time to slow down…
…and go on a roadtrip. Not a massive, epic one, sadly, but just to Ullapool. It’s only an hour away, but through some of the Highlands’ best scenery lies this scenic little village on the shores of Loch Broom. It was all the better on Saturday, an uncharacteristically clear, crisp and sunny day.
The village looked great…
And snow-capped Ben Wyvis also looked stunning against the Glascarnoch dam.
It was good to get out and about, making the most of the rare window of good weather in the face of the slow encroachment of winter.
There are a few other photos on Flickr from the trip.
Isn’t it the Glascarnoch dam? Anyway, nice photo.
It’s just along from the Altguish Inn so I thought it was the Altguish dam, but I’ve just googled and apparently not. Thanks. Changed.
